On Friday, March 20, 2015, the first consultative meeting of humanitarian organizations working in the field of care and sponsorship of orphans, donors and implemented in the Turkish city of Istanbul, was attended by nearly 30 charitable humanitarian organizations from multiple countries. The Voluntary Goodness Team” the idea of a “Syrian Orphan Care Network” and the need to establish a humanitarian network to unify the efforts made and link and network humanitarian organizations working in the field of orphan care, after sensing the large scale of the problem that the Syrian orphan suffers from as a result of political conflicts.
In addition to the meeting, interactive workshops were held, which resulted in many recommendations, which led to an introductory meeting to discuss and develop the basics of the "Syrian Orphan Care Network" and ways of cooperation and networking between the participating humanitarian organizations.
