To see the reality experienced by the stricken peoples and to motivate the participants to collect donations for the affected and contribute to the transmission of what they saw to the humanitarian supporters in their country, the Orphans Care Union held the Silk Road Trips Program for the State of Bosnia during the period 6-13 July 2019, which included a visit to the cities of Mostar, Doboj and Potocari Srebrenica and Sarajevo.

The trip focused on the humanitarian aspects and the need of the Bosnian community for humanitarian projects and activities. And to form an accurate picture of the humanitarian situation in Bosnia, which contributes to the accuracy of conveying that image. It also aimed to review successful experiences in the field of humanitarian support, such as the soft loan program supported by the Islamic Relief ISLAMIC RELEIF in Bosnia. And like the endowments owned by EMMAUS and its role in the sustainability of the organization.

 

The city of MOSTAR, close to the borders of Montenegro and Dubrovnik (southern Croatia), was among the stations visited by the delegation and heard and witnessed the wars and crises that this city had suffered, and what the humanitarian work was like in it by visiting the Islamic Center and meeting with Sheikh Salih Julakovic, on organized projects MFS-EMMAUS. Including the charity kitchen, and the health and psychological care center. And the care center for children without parents or who have been subjected to various abuses.

The delegation also participated in the anniversary of the famous massacre of Srebrenica on July 11, which claimed the lives of thousands of martyrs, and among the most prominent manifestations of its commemoration is the annual march that the participants walk against the path used by the Bosniaks to escape death, in which thousands of people from several countries participate, and its distance is more than 95 to talk.

 

The penultimate stop was for the Islamic Relief office in the capital, Sarajevo, with the aim of identifying their achievements in the field of soft loans and small projects. He visited some of those field projects.


The delegation concluded its trip by visiting the Life Tunnel in the capital, Sarajevo, whose excavation event was a milestone in the history of Bosnia. In addition to visiting the sports stadium cemetery and the tomb of President Alija Izetbegovic, who led Bosnia during that period.
