Under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser, founder of the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, hosted - Doha, the International Conference on Disability and Development, the Federation participated in the conference whose theme was
 Harnessing the power of sustainable social development to advance the rights of persons with disabilities  on 7 and 8 December 2019.

The conference sought to support international efforts aimed at achieving a link between the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities on the one hand and the United Nations sustainable development goals on the other hand, and similar to the conference, the Executive Director of the Union spoke with the Director of UNICEF for the Middle East and North Africa to be one of the speakers in the scientific conference to be held by the Union November 2020.

After the conference, the Union held several meetings and visits, the most important of which was a meeting with Dr. Ghassan Kahlout, Head of the Conflict and Humanitarian Action Department at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, and Dr. Haider Saeed, Director General of the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies, and Ms. Maryam bint Nasser Al-Misnad, Director General of Dreama Organization for Orphans Care, and they talked about the possibility of signing a joint memorandum of understanding in addition to the possibility of them supporting research projects. In addition to meeting Dr. Ezz El Din Abdel Mawla, Al Jazeera Research and Studies Center. And Professor Karim Meriji, Center for Freedom and Human Rights at Al-Hazira TV, discussed the possibility of joint cooperation in the field of research.
