The Orphan Care Union, in cooperation with member organizations, organized a humanitarian field visit in the presence of the guest of honor, His Excellency Muhammad Fahd Al-Mohammed - Consul General of Kuwait in Istanbul, to the relief and development projects supported by Kuwaiti humanitarian charitable organizations, where His Excellency and the diplomatic attache closely monitored the field work. During the tour, the delegation visited To His Excellency Mr. Kongur Azim Tuna - Wali of Şanlıurfa Province. The discussion revolved around the situation of Syrian refugees in the province. The governor praised the role of charitable work provided by philanthropists in Kuwait and Kuwaiti charities to support the affected and the needy, and thanked His Excellency the Governor’s Consul for his reception and hospitality.


During the visit, an open session was held between the members of the Federation and the Consul, where he was introduced to the charitable organizations and their places of work in Turkey and Syria and the various projects they carry out. There was a talk about the importance of humanitarian work and the need to pay attention to international standards of governance and transparency. The Consul praised what humanitarian organizations are doing From his work, he gave tips and advice, as it was a constructive dialogue rich with valuable and important information.


The organization of this visit comes as part of the support and advocacy projects that fall within the scope of the work of the Federation. The honorable guest, His Excellency Muhammad Al-Mohammed, the Kuwaiti Consul in Istanbul, was briefed about the achievements in the humanitarian and charitable work of the member organizations of the Federation, and he also heard from them their demands in order to run the output of charitable and humanitarian work.
