With the distinguished participation of pioneering women in Kuwaiti charitable work, philanthropists and interested parties, and at the kind invitation of the Caravan Organization for Relief and Development and the Union for Orphans Care, an open meeting was held in Kuwait on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at the organization’s headquarters under the title “From a culture of support to a culture of empowerment.”

The meeting was moderated by the Executive Director of the Federation, Mr. Fadi Iskandarani, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Federation, Mr. Salah Ahmed Al-Jarallah

During the meeting, a presentation was made on the basic principles underlying the concept of empowerment and how it is approached in working with orphans and their families, and how charitable institutions move in their programs to an approach of development and empowerment by changing the nature of programs and services provided to orphans and their families, and rehabilitating workers in associations that care for orphans .
During the presentation, the most prominent projects and programs directed at women who head or support their families were presented, in addition to the latest projects and programs that the union is working on.

In conclusion, the Executive Director and the Secretary General answered the questions and inquiries raised by the participating women, who showed a clear interest in the projects and topics raised during the meeting.
