In the presence of a number of charities’ leaders, philanthropists and those interested, the Orphan Care Union held an introductory evening at the International Islamic Charitable Organization building in the South Surra region in Kuwait, on Wednesday evening, November 15, under the slogan “#Caring for orphans: a future we draw together.” The programs and projects that it seeks to accomplish, which is to achieve the interest of orphans by providing support, and raising the efficiency of institutions working in the field of sponsoring and caring for orphans, according to the organizers.

The evening was presented by Mr. Abdullah Al-Haider, the former advisor at the Kuwaiti Zakat House, and after the opening with verses from the Holy Qur’an, the engineer Badr Saud Al-Sumait (Director General of the International Islamic Charitable Organization) delivered a speech in which he noted the need to take care of the orphan, especially after providing sponsorship and after this orphan becomes a young man in need to family support and care.

In this regard, the Secretary-General of the Union of Orphans Care Salah Al-Jarallah said that the orphan who lost his parents has lost the community’s interest and his fate has become unknown and exposed to illiteracy, delinquency and injustice. All the energies and expertise in the field of caring for orphans and their families.

Al-Jarallah added that the initiative of the Orphan Care Union emerged from the womb of Kuwait Al-Khair, and it has found an echo in many local charitable institutions and international organizations with the aim of drawing attention and distributing roles among workers in the field of orphans. Regional crises have left humanitarian disasters exceeding five million orphans and more than one and a half million A widow, which requires concerted efforts and coordination of actions so that the affected receive a minimum level of comprehensive care, especially orphans.

Al-Jarallah explained that the establishment of the “Orphan Care Union” came in coordination with many charitable and humanitarian organizations in the Arab countries, Turkey and Europe, with the aim of linking the organizations to each other and working to bridge the gaps that could occur in humanitarian work. Crises and wars is the most urgent need and necessity.

Al-Jarallah indicated that the most important reasons for the success of any project, program or organization is the team’s work and solidarity together to provide a distinguished service in the right of humanitarian work, indicating that the Union seeks through its executive offices in Gaziantep, Istanbul and London to spread its message of building partnerships and networking with the largest charitable organizations and research institutions. To work with member organizations to raise the capacities of workers in orphan departments, with supervisors and field coordinators, for the general benefit of the orphan and his family wherever he is, whether in the home, the tent, or orphan centers.

Then a speech was followed by Dr. Jaber Al-Wanda (Deputy Director General of Al-Najat Charitable Society) on behalf of Mr. Ahmed Saad Al-Jasser, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Society, where he touched upon the importance of teamwork and what organizations such as the Orphan Care Union can provide to the humanitarian charitable work community.

And the word Dr. Muhammad Al-Awadi, where he spoke about the honoring of God Almighty for those who help the weak animal, so what about those who provide aid and support to the orphan and his widowed mother who are stranded.

On his part, Executive Director Fadi Muhammad Iskandarani said that the orphan in our society is a test from God Almighty, in which there is a calamity for the individual orphan and the society as a whole. and maintain it.

And Iskandarani explained that Islam presented this group to society in the most wonderful human image that civilized societies witnessed, and did not present them as victims or remnants of society as is common in other societies. And if you mix with them, they are your brothers.”

Iskandarani explained that the Union began its journey to work under the slogan “We can do anything if we really believe in it and we want to achieve it.” He pointed out that after nearly two years, the Orphan Care Union was able to prove its institutional presence in the world of humanitarian and charitable organizations, and this was evident by seeking everything that is in the interest of the orphan. His family and all the needy and afflicted alike.

At the end of the evening, Al-Jarallah invited all those who are interested in the issue of orphans and have little or many contributions to respond to support this effort.
