The Orphans Care Federation organized a humanitarian field visit for the “Muslim Aid” organization, a humanitarian charitable organization registered in Britain, to the state of Hatay in southern Turkey, in the presence of the Muslim Baroness Mrs. Saida Warsi, member of the British House of Lords, Mr. Fadi Iskandarani, Executive Director of the Federation, and Mr. Jahangir Malik, Executive Director of the organization Islamic Aid.


The visit aimed to review the conditions of the Syrian refugees, after 6 years of the crisis and the lack of media coverage globally, in order to convey the voice of the afflicted to international forums and focus on the humanitarian situation in these areas.


The organization of this visit comes as part of the support and advocacy projects within the scope of the work of the Union, as the honorable guest, Mrs. Saeeda Warsi, raised her voice to the responsible authorities in the United Kingdom regarding the challenges and difficulties experienced by the Syrian refugees and what humanitarian organizations provide in order to alleviate the suffering of the affected and the needy.


As part of the field tour activities on the first day of the holy month, Eid clothes vouchers were distributed to orphaned children and memorial photos were taken with them, and the most beautiful joy when you see the smile on their faces rejoicing at the blessed month of Ramadan and the approaching Eid. In the same context, the Union also participated in the joy of 100 children from Dar Al-Samou (a guest house) in the Sham Association for Orphans Care (a member of the Union) distributing Eid vouchers on 25 Ramadan 1438 AH corresponding to 20 June 2017 AD in the city of Gaziantep.
